Louisiana Fairy Tale – Sheet music | ニューオリンズ88鍵

I tried writing sheet music for the Louisiana Fairy Tale I uploaded before.
This arrangement—or rather, this version too—is really inspired by Dr. John.

I kept thinking, “How would he play this if he were still alive?”

If the New Orleans style is all about a subtle bounce—not too jumpy, kind of dragging a bit—then I think Dr. John tended to play things even more straight, closer to even.

If it were him, I feel like he’d play this more evenly.

But in the end, my version ended up bouncing quite a bit.

I added a III7 chord in the middle—Dr. John loved that one.
In this key (Bb), that means D7.

When it’s solo piano, you can change the chords however you want!

以前アップロードしたLouisiana fairy taleを譜面に起こしてみました。
このアレンジは、と言うより”このアレンジも”ドクタージョンをすごく意識しています。

ドクターが生きていたら彼はこの曲をどんな風に弾くのだろうと。

あまり跳ねすぎず、少し引きずる様に微妙にバウンスするのがニューオリンズのスタイルだとすれば、ドクターはその中でもイーブンに近い弾き方を好んでする様に思う。

ドクターならこの曲をもっとイーブンに弾くだろう。

結果的にはかなりバウンスした演奏になってしまった。

コード進行は、途中、ドクターが大好きなIII7を入れました。

この曲の様にBbで言えばD7
ソロピアノならどんなにコードを変えてもOKだ！
